Lori Gato, LCSW

Therapy to me is a process that helps people identify their very own strengths. When they are assisted in identifying their strengths, they can use them to accomplish their goals and feel strong inside. Each and every person has these strengths due to their life experience. I can help you identify them and use them to reach your aspirations. I will listen to your unique story and help you to get to feeling your best mentally.

My approach to therapy is empathy, active listening, honesty, and also like to have some laughs along the way. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, along with teaching coping skills and self care techniques.

I work with adults having struggles with depression, anxiety, stress, attention concerns, grief, and trauma. I have a special interest in working with people who have autoimmune disorders including chronic Lyme Disease and chronic pain as it relates to mental health.

I am here to help guide you to live to your fullest. One thing I often hear in sessions is “I just need someone to talk to because I don’t want to be a burden to my family and friends.” I am a good listener and the therapeutic relationship is they key to success in therapy.
