Andrea Harkins, LCPC-C

I help people feel empowered to live the life they want. I enjoy helping people through times of struggle and feeling stuck to get back to enjoying their lives and feeling like their full, real selves.

Clients say they feel supported and that I take the time to understand them. It’s from that place of trust that we collaborate to help you tune into your inner strengths and build new skills and perspectives to move forward in your life with more confidence.

My therapeutic foundation is humanistic and strengths-based. I utilize a few different therapeutic
approaches such as internal family systems and mindfulness based practices, to draw on the already
present insight and resilience you possess. The most important thing is connecting with you and
allowing for you to feel deeply heard and seen in your experience.

I come from an education background and went to University of Southern Maine to earn my Masters
in Counseling Degree. My work in the education field focused on working closely with families in a
collaborative and holistic nature; This is a value that I carry with me into the counseling profession.

I feel my best when I maintain some sort of balance between the many aspects and important pieces of my life, including time with friends and family and time in nature.
